Check the recorder before ordering the camera

Find the recorder hardware version, not just its RLN8-410 or RLN16-410 name. Reolink excludes the TrackMix series from H3MB02 and H3MB06 support. Buying a new camera does not update that older recorder hardware. Official NVR hardware matrix — checked Oct 7, 2026.

For dual-view display, the official guide names N2MB02, N3MB01, H3MB18, N5MB01, N6MB01 and N7MB01, plus RLN12W/NVS12W. Update the recorder firmware first. Two displayed lens images still occupy one recorder channel. In the App, use the dual-display control; in the desktop Client, use split view and drag each lens into the viewing area. Budget for an actual power path

The published input is active IEEE 802.3af 48V PoE, or DC 12V/2A. An ordinary Ethernet socket does not establish PoE power. Match your switch or injector to the documented input before buying. The PoE model uses wired networking; its Ethernet port does not make it the Wi-Fi version. Official model specifications — checked Oct 7, 2026.

Continuous recording is a setting, not a storage-time promise

The specification lists motion-triggered recording as the default, with scheduled and continuous recording available. It lists microSD capacity up to 512GB. Capacity alone does not establish retention time: bitrate, recording mode and usage matter. We have not measured recording duration or recognition performance. Delivery and returns change the real buying cost

The Oct 7 shipping-policy snapshot estimates 3–6 business days for U.S. delivery and dispatch within two business days except preorders. These are different milestones, not a guaranteed arrival date. For direct-store orders, request a refund within 30 days of delivery. Personal-reason returns are buyer-paid. For a quality replacement requested after 30 days, the buyer pays the return leg; Reolink pays the replacement shipment. Moving the product outside its purchase region makes both replacement shipping legs buyer-paid. Painting, tampering and installation damage are among the warranty exclusions. Choose PoE or Wi-Fi by the available cable route

Choose PoE when you can supply the documented Ethernet power connection. If an Ethernet run is impractical, inspect the separately listed TrackMix WiFi instead.
