The checked base listings were $2,799 for Pro 3 and $4,199 for Ultra with one inverter and one battery: an advertised price gap of $1,400, calculated before order-level benefits, taxes or installation. Choose Pro 3 when its output is enough and you want one movable unit

For selected appliances whose combined running demand fits 4,000W, Pro 3 avoids paying for Ultra's higher output. Check startup demand separately. Its integrated battery/inverter can suit a setup you roll between operating locations, but 113.54 lb makes repeated carrying up stairs unattractive. The catch: Pro 3's ordinary 120V socket bank turns off when its 240V bank is enabled. The latter includes a split-phase L14-30 outlet; it does not mean every household plug can remain connected and powered. Choose Ultra when a larger simultaneous load justifies the system

For a correctly configured backup plan exceeding Pro 3's continuous-output limit, Ultra's 7,200W rating can justify the step up. Budget for the actual home connection. EcoFlow says Smart Home Panel 2 requires installation; only configurations explicitly including installation cover that service. The Ultra inverter package also excludes the connection cable needed to connect a second inverter to that panel. Already own EcoFlow batteries? Check the direction of compatibility

• An original DELTA Pro Smart Extra Battery can work with Pro 3, with all devices updated to the latest firmware.
• A Pro 3 Extra Battery cannot work with the original DELTA Pro. Compatibility does not run both ways.
• The Pro 3 main unit cannot pair with an original DELTA Pro main unit, and EcoFlow states that Pro 3 is not compatible with DELTA Pro Ultra.

Skip both base setups if the requirement is still undefined

If you cannot name the appliances, simultaneous demand and required backup hours, neither base-price offer tells you whether the purchase will work. Resolve that sizing question first.
